To get optimal result, prevent corruption, and be more transparent, Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama asks for alms collection in the future to be conducted via bank transfer.

By transferring (alms), data will be recorded so we’ll know who’s poor, thus we could help them better

“It’s not I’m being su’udzon (overly suspicious), but human tends to corrupt. Whatever your religion is, if everyone were honest, God won’t send prophets. By transferring (alms), data will be recorded so we’ll know who’s poor, thus we could help them better,” uttered Basuki in Peduli Ramadan 2014 event held by Jakarta BAZIS at Istora Senayan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (7/15).

If Jakarta BAZIS still applied cash system next year, Basuki threatened will reduce the amount of alms he gave routinely every year.
